Paolo Ardoino, CEO of stablecoin issuer Tether, shared his prediction on the risk of Bitcoin quantum attacks on social platform X last Sunday, writing:
- Quantum computing is still quite far from posing any substantial risks compared to Bitcoin encryption technology. Bitcoin will eventually introduce anti quantum addresses before quantum computing poses a serious threat. All living individuals (who can use their own encrypted wallets) will transfer Bitcoin to a new anti quantum address. Any Bitcoin stored in a lost wallet will be hacked and circulated again, including Satoshi Nakamoto's Bitcoin (if no longer alive).
Ardoino added:
No matter what, there are only 21 million bitcoins, and this cannot be changed, even with quantum computing. This is the truly crucial information. Bitcoin is the best asset in the world
